Oatmeal or something else

Cholesteral dropped 10 points this week from a test a year ago - only thing different is eating oatmeal and whole grains. Could this alone be the reason?

A small variation like ten points could be simply be within the standard deviation limits.  Also, the important factor is the ratio of hdl/ldl (good cholesterol/bad cholesterol.  As erijon suggests, you need to post all the numbers.
