I'm 25 and my hdl is 26 i just found out. My doc didnt seem concerned, but i know 26 is low so i am going to get those numbers up with or without his help. Sometimes you have to take your health into your own hands.

Quick and effective ways to increase your HDL are exercise and alcohol in moderation. Exercise also has other benefits: blood sugar regulation, muscular strength, cardiovascular fitness.

The only way that I was able to raise my HDL was to give up carbohydrates and embrace saturated fats.  I've tried the standard ways for years over the last couple of decades.  They just do not work for many of us.  My doctor has now ordered me to eat no more than 30 grams of carbohydrates a day and to enjoy my coconut oil and bacon.
