Thank you,I am going to start walking each day a little farther, you have given me a good start to do that by understanding how I can bring down thr high numbers, thank you
Any time you have a surgical procedure, I think you should expect blood sugar and cholesterol levels to be out of whack for awhile. However, if your triglycerides were 400 before the surgery, I'd be pro-active, as you are, to get them down. I don't know about thyroid issues. I do know that diets high in sugars and fats without benefit of exercise tend to result in high levels. Statin drugs can be exceedingly effective with very low risk in lowering both cholesterol and triglyceride levels, and also taking 2000 of a good quality fish oil can help. As a former commercial fisherman, I'd recommend a fish oil such as herring, mackerel or tuna, or oil from wild-caught salmon. Salmon oil from Atlantic or Chilean salmon is always from farmed salmon and the nutrition levels/quality is poor. Krill oil is touted, but I haven't seen any government-sponsored research that backs up the claims. That said, nothing beats just getting on your athletic shoes and walking or jogging for 30 to 60 minutes a day, every day.
thank you,and I did forget to ask a question, but you answer it,thank you,I guess this scares me,I am walking and have made appointment with a nutritionist, and thinking of changing to being a vegg eater and give up meat, which I only eat meat as of before 2-3 times a week, when I had my thyroid check and was told I am hypo, could that have any thing to do with my high triglycerides?also my gallbladder remove last month, thank you
I'm not sure if I should respond to your post as you aren't really asking any questions, and the causes of issues like you have are enormous, such as diabetes, thyroid issues, heart issues, cataracts, arterial blockages, lung disease... Perhaps, after more tests and evaluations your problems can be norrowed down. Keep in touch.
