Giving birth with CFS

Hi. Im 35 weeks pregnant and the whole way through my pregnancy i have made it very clear that a c section would be the best thing for my long term health, most midwives have agreed with me. Obviously it would be very painful and difficult for the first couple of months at least.
Well i had a consultant appointment and she totally dismissed my need for a c section and is now sending me for counselling because im just anxious about giving birth. She wouldnt listen at all and i really dont know what to do.

Has anyone else been through similar?

just get an epidural and you will be fine.  NO doctor should perform a C section unless it is absolutely medically necessary.  guess that is why God didn't make us with zippers.  the birth process is beneficial to your baby in the ways mentioned above as well as it clears the lungs, etc.  it is natural.   I have had children with CFS and to be honest, the flood of hormones, etc take over and the CFS creates NO issues during birth.  come back and let us know how it goes and how you are feeling

Hey danilou91.

Please reconsider the C-section.
Your baby will not benefit from the  beneficial bacteria , only available through you  in a natural delivery, thus putting your baby in a higher risk for a compromised immunity and health issues, later in life.
Look into hypnobirthing, a training progrma for expecting mothers, to help them have much less painful natural delivery (for the baby as well) and with  other benefits as well.

Let me know, if you need any more details, but please note that this is not
a substitute for medical advice.

Wish you well.
