Is this technique a temporary fix for 5 to 10 minutes following this exercise, or dores it have any long term benefits?

Anulom vilom pranayam(breathing technique) has long lasting benefits. Initially do it twice a day, and when you are better, continue once a day for life to keep the body healthy.
