Can having a pneumothprax cause pain and shortness of breath months later

Hi. I had a pneumothprax 5 months ago. I haven't been right since and get chest pain radiating to my back every day, struggle with shortness of breath and fatigue. I have been back and forth to my gp. On one occasion he said that the pneumothprax may have caused scar tissue on my diaphragm and that could be causing the pain and breathing problems but hasn't mentioned anything since. My oxygen levels show normal. But this is affecting my daily life and struggling to get to the bottom of it
Any help or advice would be hugely appreciated
Thank you
