Hi jimbob32,
First of all, GREAT JOB! Quitting is HARD. I've been there. So, give yourself a pat on the back...go ahead....I'll wait. :)
I was a hot mess emotionally when I quit for good (it took several attempts). In fact, my (then) husband begged me to start again because he couldn't deal with the crazy woman I'd become! I don't know about your other withdrawal issues, but emotional ups & downs, as well as the inability to relax is definitely from quitting the smokes.
Hang tough! Again, great job!
Thank you i will try the rubber band theory today
Since you've been checked out, I suggest the chest pain is anxiety created by the nicotine absence. Some quitters use nicotine gum or patches to help take the edge off nicotine's absence.
Many quitters use a rubber band on their wrist to snap as a distraction. You carry a puzzle book or good pocketbook to read when you find nervous tension bothersome and want something more substantial as a distraction.
