do you you have to take any pain killers??

do you take any narcotics for pain control??? i have cronic pain last 6 yrs due to work injury..was on methadone 5 yrs i came off that crap.,. they put me on percosets for it...

my questshion if your on these meds due they affect your breathing in anyway???

mine gets impaired on these percosets..i cant even take the prescibed dose..not even 1/2 of it..it makes me breath funny..gets tight..

         explain if you have had this problem..thanks

Hi,  yes when i was in the ER, they gave me percoset for pain and the Dr was saying that it will affect my breathing, My mom who was with me thought i was about to pass out.. If your insurance allows you ask your dr to lower your dose or switch meds. I'm on Tramadol now and except for a little nausea i'm ok.

Yes, meds can effect our breathing. My son is 31 and has been diagnosed recently with COPD. His doctor switched his blood pressure meds. Seems the blood pressure med he was on would effect breathing. I also was diagnosed 3 yrs. ago with moderate COPD. And it has been my experience that certain meds will effect breathing. I would say definitely painkillers would effect breathing. Hope this helps.
