You should ask your doctor or pharmacist this question.

I did find:

ciprofloxacin

Do not split, crush or chew the tablet. Tell your healthcare provider if you can not swallow the tablet whole. Take CIPRO Oral Suspension in the morning and evening at about the same time each day. ... Do not split, crush or chew the tablet.

metronidazole

Metoprolol should be taken with food or just after a meal. A Toprol XL tablet can be divided in half if your doctor has told you to do so. The half tablet should be swallowed whole, without chewing or crushing. Chewing or crushing the pill could cause too much of the drug to be released at one time.

Talk to your pharmacist
