Cirrohsis or being paranoid?

I am a 53 year old female who drank heavily everyday for the last 20 years. Usually five or six beers night. I have TOTALLY quit drinking for the last 30 days. I went to the ER with chest pains and heart palpitations a month ago, but EKG, stress test and all X-rays came back normal. My blood work(CBC) cams back normal as well. My levels were:
Alb Level- 4.2
Platelet- 246x10e3/mcl
AST- 15 units
ALT- 24 units
I also got an abdominal ultrasound done and GP said it look good but was a  little fatty- he said normal was around 15 and mine was 16. All other organs looked great. I feel okay, but not back to myself- not sure if this is due to stress from worrying about this situation. I was extremely constipated but since taking prune juice and eating more fruit and veggies seem to be going normal. My stools smell a little different, and were green than yellow. I feel a little pain under my right rib at times, but not all the time. I ate pizza yesterday for the first time in a month and got indigestion and pain under my right rib but it was located more on the side of the rib and around towards the back. I am very nervous about my liver, but my GP says everything is fine. Should I be concerned? Has anyone else had these symptoms? Thank you!

Hello
As Lynn said, non of the symptoms you mentioned has anything to do with liver disease. However, WE ARE NOT DOCTORS,but just a community. As Lynn said, again, liver disease, maybe be asymptomatic for many years until you can realize you're sick. You're talking about cirrhosis, which is the end stage of liver disease. In other words, your liver, has to go different stages, before cirrhosis. Basically, cirrhosis is the point of non return. Before cirrhosis, every stage can be reversed. The liver is the only organ who has an amazing capacity or regeneration of liver cells. Besides, all your tests, comeback normal.Fatty liver, can be caused by heavy drinking and bad diet, and being overweight. Again, it can be reversed by lifestyle changing. I wouldn't be worrying too much. But since you stopped drinking,I'm sure your liver is saying to you" OH, THANK YOU, WHAT A RELIEF". Keep up the good lifestyle, and you will be ok. Good luck.

Generally liver disease has no symptoms until very advanced liver damage has occurred.

The symptoms you have described are not associated with liver disease.

If  were you I would believe my doctor they are the experts.
