Flu, or something worse?

So for the past 3 weeks or so, since a move to a new apartment, I have had a mild to moderate aching pain that comes and goes (lasting 10-30 minutes, maybe 1-2 times a day) in my groin, my lower back, my left calf muscle, my right armpit, my upper chest (both sides).  I also had occasional nausea, though always in connection with car or tram travel, or exposure to sunlight (as a child I got sunstroke and heat stroke very easily).  This went on for a while, and had me pretty scared.  Two days ago I suddenly got a sore throat, yesterday my nose started running and I had swollen lymph nodes under my jaw.  Today I have sinus pains, and a stuffy nose.

My mother is of the opinion that all of this is consistent with a flu, which I have never before had.  I was vaccinated against the flu in January (five months ago), though I know there are many different strains.  What do you think?  Does this sound like the flu?
