cough cough 6 months doctor cant help

please help me guys i have been having this caugh for 6months now !!! im so tired . all the stuff the doc gives just doesnt help at all. its bad during the night. i have tried everything the longest i got relive was 4days after a friend suggested marijuana at that stage my ribs was so sore. i am taking vita c and b . i am trying everything warm ginger beer , air purifyers and my doctor . i sneeze a lot headaches and im so tired.  
im thinking of moving to the coast my kid is 2years and has the caugh as well. please help.

i dont smoke , i have mucus problems but i had post nasal drip for like forever .im going to the doc for the x-ray tho it doesnt feel like its a chest problem . it feels like a irritation. im thinking of moving to the coast as my child has a cough too.

do you smoke ?? i have had a persistent cough for 10 months now and was diagnosed with COPD and asthma, i would suggest you go back to doctors and get tested for this. Has the doctor tried you on any steroids or sent you for a chest xray. You say you sneeze a lot, cud your sinuses be blocked as this can cause mucus to travel to the back of your throat when you lie down, try a nasal spray and see if that works. I would still get your docs to do more tests. Good luck
