I read in a recent medical news report that Tinnitis was apparently caused by an aterial blockage, easily eliminatedby a simple surgical procedure.
The source of the problem was purportedly discovered when the consulting physician placed a stethascope behind the patient's ear and found that he could hear the same 'ringing noise' as the patient.
According to the article, the symptoms disappeared and the ringing stopped immediately once the artery in question was surgically cleared of the blockage.
This news may have been reported in the New York Times or Washington Post.
I have suffered menieres for years also and tinitis. I purchased a large quantity of the flavonoids whilst in the US where I saw them for the first time. I took them for months on end (as recommended) even doubling the dosage when the higher potency capsules were available. NO CHANGE at all. I wished I hadn't wasted my money. The bottle said that the flavonoids were not proven by any clinical trials - should have read that bit first before buying them. I am still looking for a solution.
My husband has tinitis (recently diagnosed) and the doctor recommended cutting out caffeine and salt intake. The caffeine cut seems to be helping him and when he eats chocolate or drinks caffeinated drinks, he can tell almost immediately that the ringing is louder and more annoying. I hope this helps.
I am currently using a homeopathic remedy for my tinnitus. i dont know if it will work but i sure hope that it does. I have been using it for 2 weeks now and already i dont constantly hear that whining sound in my ears!!! Will this remedy cure my tinnitus, i dont know but it is working great rigt now!
I have it but I have not had it cured. I am not sure you can. I do know that they say liquid fllavonoid is suppose to help some. I have never tried it because mine is in conjunction with the menieres disease that I have had for years.
