I have been coughing since April of 2017 to January of 2018. When it just started happening I thought it was just my body acting up so I didn't think much of it. Like 3 years ago before this started I went to the hospital with Pneumonia and got better after a month. They gave me a Cough Assist Machine, Bi-pap Machine, and a Nebulizer. Coughed a few times through out those years but it was from my weaker lungs after the Pneumonia, my lungs are like this because of my Muscular Dystrophy. But right in April of 2017 when I was in 9th Grade I went to the Nurse to get my Nebulizer treatment because I was coughing all day. Well a few weeks later I'm still coughing, so my mom gets a ENT appointment and the ENT doc says it's chronic cough and gives me a nose squirter thing with some kinda spray meds in it, but after 2 months still nothing. so he gives me a inhaler to try for a month, guess what.... still nothing. Then my MD Clinic Pulmonologist thinks it's asthma but nope, cough is still there. So the next ENT visit he says it's Acid Reflex so I have no clue and he gives me a pill for it. My Pulmonologist changes the spray to. When I get this cough it's usually after eating and sometimes I get these cold/slightly feverish chills every now and then. I'm pretty sure it's something else, please help I've been coughing forever and I feel miserable, nothing is working!
