Developed asthma after bronchitis, is it possible in a 31 year old male

I caught bronchitis on 8th November 2017 but since then I haven't been able to breath properly, it seems like I have developed asthma like hyperresponsiveness in my lungs and keep on wheezing on and off for days alternatively. I never had asthma and was quite confident of my lungs capacity, Since I'm 31 do you think it makes sence that bronchitis can cause permanent asthma?
