Flu symptoms

Is it possible to have the flu virus and only have fever,headache,body aches? Or one must have actual cough with cold symptoms?

You do have the flu.  You may get a cold and a cough later, but the initial onset of flu is exactly the symptoms that you describe.

Take over the counter medications as directed on the packet to get your temperature down.  Stay in bed and take sips of juices so as not to get dehydrated.  It is not important to eat, as long as you get your fluids.  Avoid milky drinks while you are ill.

I actually have a very slight dry cough(it's been day 4 with on and off fever). Which I reduce effectively with ibuprofen.

I have had the flu virus twice in the last few months ...it was really nasty I think you can just have the symptoms you describe ..I have a cough aswell but the aches are really bad, it seems like a new version of the flu .
