Getting a cold or the influenza virus is nothing to do with being pregnant.
It is just coincidental that you have experienced this at the beginning of each of your pregnancies.

We catch colds and flu when our immune system is lowered and we have been exposed to the airborne virus by people coughing and sneezing.  Germs are also passed by they hands and if the virus is on your hands and you touch your eyes, you will have contaminated yourself by that way too.

Drink plenty of juices and water, honey with fresh lemon juice as a hot drink is soothing for a sore throat.

A runny nose not very nice, but it is the body's way of getting rid of irritants, be they viral, bacterial, or allergies.

You may in fact have hay fever or an allergy rather than a cold.  Symptoms are about the same.

Hope you have a good pregnancy.

Best wishes.
