getting rid of a cold

Does anyone know if Alkaseltzer Plus is safe to take for a cold ? I read that it is as long as it doesn't have aspirin in it, which it doesn't.

ZICAM-I will swear by this product.  If you even think you are gettign a cold or flu start ZICAM right away.  The worst I have gotten in years i s runny nose for a day and a headache.  I can't imagine how many times I have fought off the sickness before it got to me!

:)

It isn't too late to take it even if you area already ill.

Chicken soup is definitely a good soup to have when feeling unwell.  The consome chicken soup is the one that my daughter insists on having when she is ill.  It is usually served with thin noodles.

Alkaseltzer Plus is used to relieve cold and flu symptoms and should be safe for you to use as long as you follow the instructions provided.

In 2000/01 the products containing Phenylpropanolamine were being recalled.  Yours is not likely to be that old and it will be safe for you to use to relieve your cold symptoms as long as you following the directions on the packet.

Make sure that you drink plenty of warm soothing drinks, like honey and lemon, keep off the alcohol.  Try and eat more fresh fruit and veg too, to up your Vitimin C levels.

Vitamin D3 supplements. When i'm low in vitamin D and feel a cold coming on...vitamin D gets rid of it fast! :)

Science Daily - Vitamin D crucial to activating immune defenses...

"Scientists have found that vitamin D is crucial to activating our immune defenses and that without sufficient intake of the vitamin - the killer cells of the immune system -- T cells -- will not be able to react to and fight off serious infections in the body. The research team found that T cells first search for vitamin D in order to activate and if they cannot find enough of it will not complete the activation process."
