My physician suggested a surgery for fistula and got operated on the 23rd.
its damn paining. What diet should i take? As if noew i am taking lot of  fluids to avoid stool as much as possible. And its painful to wash after passing stool coz the fistula occured between my legs (the blank space between the ******* and the penis). My mom is dressing the affected part by applying  (Povidone-Iodine Ointment USP) Betadine as suggested by the physician everytime after i pass stool and sit on a luke warm water bucket for 15-20 minutes.
Please give me appropriate solution to get rid of pain and recover ASAP.
Kindly email me the solution at (***@****)
Thanks
God Bless

Hi Rahul68,
The type of surgery done for anal fistula depends on the type of fistula. Even after careful selection, none of the surgeries is 100% successful. A 10% recurrence rate is always there.

Some of the precautions to be taken-
- Keep the area washed and clean with plain tap water
- After passing stool, wash properly with a stream of water
- Drink plenty of fluids
- Take high fiber diet.
