Severe Stomach discomfort.

Hello for the past few months i have been having severe stomach pain and nausea, i havnt vomited from this yet but its makes doing things very difficault the pain last for hours at a time some days like today i woke up at 7am, and ive been experiancing the nausea and discomfort from about 8am to now its still going on at 11:20am. Ive been to the doctors he thought it was G.E.R.D where stomach acid travels up the esophagus and prescribed me famotidine, a acid reducer 40mg strength, ive been taking it for more then 2 weeks as prescribed by my docter yet the stomach discomfort has not gone away. i dont believe its Gullbladder related but it could be. ive recently quit smoking ciggeretes because it was making it worse its so bad. after two weeks of not smoking that isnt making it go away either ive had some blood tests they where all normal my doc said. ANYONE! HELP!

Hi,
It could be due to acid peptic disease or gall bladder disease. An ultrasound scan of the abdomen and upper GI endoscopy may be done to confirm the diagnosis.
Consider taking PPI and if you find relief it could be due to acid peptic disease/GERD.
