What is wrong with bowel

I am a 45 yr old female with a history of gastro problems,

1996 severe stomach pains, bleeding opening bowels, scope and several ' Adenomatous polyps with moderate epithelial dysplasia' were removed, followed by heamorroidectomy(sp),

Same year Hysterectomy (Adenomyosis)

Several episodes of severe stomach pain,(resulting in hospital stays,) mainly left sided,.
2004 Endo scope  ' Hiatus hernia, esophagitis, ulcers and Barrets esophagus, = antibiotics omeprazole.

2007  admitted hosp emergency, Ct scan colonoscopy 3 weeks later
Anus normal
Rectum  normal
Sigmoid  ill defined abnormality
Descending colon ill defined abnormality
Splenic Flexture  Procedure limited by patient discomfort
Procedure stopped

Comments= Impossible to round splenic flexcture, every manipulation reacted to. The problem on CT appears to be in left colon which was visualised. There was low grade oedema and vascular injection in descending colon and sigmoid colon - photo an biopsy.
To arrange further scope

At follow up different Dr ' no follow up needed!

exercise as increases the pain, frequently bloody stools, constipated 7/8 days

Three weeks ago similar pain waking me at night,  stomach on a spin cycle!  not eating took paracetamols for about a week, go Gp, back hosp she thought gynea? but OVERDOSED paracetamol gave Parvalex, had anyphaletic shock, everything concentrated on this, put on Tramadol 100mg, ovarian scan normal sent home- still eating very little.

Three days later pain no better and now vomiting, sent to different hosp, admitted, Ct scan of abdomen = constipation! suprise! not eaten 10days,full of opiates! sent home with laxatives!! booked fcolonscopy in three weeks.
two weeks on appetite has returned but pain remains, no poop  7days stomach blew up.
Lived all over country so medical history is all over and never seems to follow me! so fed up,  please has anyone any ideas what this is? someone please help.

Thanks for your reply cathie.

I agree with you but prob is when i am poorly with it, i cant talk let alone be my own advocate!
I have just had two extremly bad nights! :( pain in epigastric area, pain in back, almost like a band around me but also my bowel feels like its doing a dance!! but very painful behind my navel, this pain started up after eating a spicey kebab, I'd chosen this as my last supper as am doing the bowel prep for colonoscopy(tommorow) so i feel it is food related, as when it started 5 weeks ago i had eaten onion barges, a rather large portion, but then avoided any spice and still the pain came, so am really at my wits end, does anyone think this couod be gallstones? wouldn't they have showed up on ct scan?

I am sooo tired but cant go back to bed at now running to the loo every five mins.

I would have to say I can understand you frustration I would have to say be your own advocate.  always make copies and request copies of your medical files and history and make a notebook and take it with you.  Read your reports and see what they have to say and if you have to take them to another Dr. for second opinion.  I would say you deffinately need to be your own advocate and even keep a journal.  It took me a long time until I started doing research and asking questions from anyone that would lilsten.

You will find the answer one day and I hope you will fill better soon.  Their is always hope out their don't give up.  Start by getting all your data and keep your daily log.  be persistant.

I know this did not give you much answers but I hope it starts somewhere.

Goodluck!!!!!
