EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a way to relieve stress and pain. You think about your pain and stress and you tap on acupressure points on your face and body.

It’s based on Chinese healing techniques that they have been using for over 5,000 years. I have used it with over a hundred people and it almost always works to some extent and with persistence the relief can be long lasting.

I created this simple 3 step formula and I posted it on my website.  See if it helps you get a little calmer about the pain:

Here are 3 basic steps you can play with right now:
1. Tap on your collarbone while you;
2. Think about one very specific negative thought.  In other words, think about the when, the where and the who about only one pain or one thought.
3. Think about something always good (I accept myself, I am grateful for ..., etc.)

Go back and try these steps now.  How are you feeling after doing these 3 steps?  If you feel a little “distracted” that’s a great first step.

To learn more you can:
1.  Do a google search for EFT and pain;
2.  Ask me questions on this site and I will be happy to answer them; or
3.  Go to my website and subscribe for my FREE Get Relief Mini-course to get lots of information about EFT. www.eftaction.com

Please, do tell us.  I have arthritis as well in my spine, and natural remedies have probably helped but over time it has gotten more intractable.  What worked for you?

And there are some wonderful supplements. Arthro 7 is one. MSM is another. Look on the internet for others. The advantage to these supplements is that they treat the cause, rather than the symptoms.

I helped my mom overcome her arthritis pain.  She has severe osteo-arthritis and osteo-perosis.

The first thing to be aware of is that lots of people have this condition and don't suffer the pain, and maybe you can get pain relief also.

Yes, see your doctor and eat the right foods.

Also, look into mental exercises (like EFT) that might help the pain and clear the way for those foods and drinks to start working for the pain.

I am not sure that you are interested, since you ask for dietary advice, but if you want to know more, I would be happy to tell you.

While the above spices in supplement form can be useful, in powder form they may or may not have any value left.  Depends on how old they were and how they were prepared.  Culinary spices are often irradiated and often quite old.  Better to take them in supplement form from a reliable company.  As to what to eat, foods high in antioxidants, such as vegetables, are very important, but as stated above, we know more about what to avoid than what to eat.  Mentioned above was to avoid oil.  Certainly some oils are inflammatory, but some are anti-inflammatory, such as omega 3 and omega 9 oils and even some Omega 6 oils.  Without oil, there's no lubrication for the joints.  Flour is only inflammatory if it's white flour, not whole grain flour as long as you avoid wheat and any other grain you might be allergic to.  While an overabundance of table salt, or more properly sodium, can cause the body to react poorly, a lack of sufficient salt, preferably lightly refined sea salt, is equally bad for you.  Everything in proportion, and in the right form.  The main things to avoid are wheat, dairy, sugar, highly refined foods, and anything you're allergic to.  Whether this will cure your arthritis, however, is going to take a long time to tell, and would require a very strict diet and one high in raw foods, such as wheat grass, foods easy to digest, and foods that are cleansing.  Hard to do, and it takes time to work.  If you're willing to take that effort, I'd see a holistic nutritionist and visit your best local small health food store for suitable reading.  Good luck.

Avoid nightshades, especially the skins, which include eggplant, tomatoes and especially potato skins. The skins contain neurotoxins mother nature put there to kill burrowing insects, and they agravate arthritic symptoms.

Diet plays a large role in the development and continuation of arthritic
symptoms. The standard American diet, full of refined foods, is a pro-inflammatory regimen. Inflammation is what causes the redness, warmth,
swelling, and joint destruction associated with arthritis. Eating pro-inflammatory foods will not only create the environment for arthritis to begin, it will fuel the illness once developed.
What are these pro-inflammatory foods? Refined sugar, salt, oil, and flour. Unfortunately, these are staples of most packaged foods and much restaurant fare and nearly all fast food.
The first step in any holistic plan is to clean up the diet. Eliminate refined foods. Eat a whole-food diet including unrefined sugar, salt, oil, and flour, and as much organic produce as possible. Also, drink adequate amounts of water. How much water? Take your weight (in pounds), and divide by
two. The resulting number is the amount of water, in ounces, you should ingest daily. It is impossible to overcome arthritis in a dehydrated condition.
