Detoxing

Is there a reason why more people will not do the colon hydrotherapy detox?  Wouldn't this make more people healthier?

Your digestive system and bowel naturally eliminate waste material and bacteria — your body doesn't need colon cleansing to do this.
Colon cleansing can sometimes be harmful. The main concerns with colon cleansing are that it can: Increase your risk of dehydration, Lead to bowel perforations, Increase the risk of infection, Cause a rise in your electrolytes, which can be dangerous if you have kidney disease or heart disease. The only time to do it is for a colonoscopy.

obviously as I can tell you've never had a hydrotherapy detox done before. If you did, you would know that hydrotherapy means water and that throughout the whole procedure, 20 gallons of water is inserted in your colon while the bad stuff is being sucked out. therefore you do not get dehydrated at all.To get more info on this , go online to colon hydrotherapy detox.

So you're hydrated, how about bowel perforations, infection, rise in your electrolytes,
Certain enema preparations have been associated with heart attacks!
Colon cleansing may disrupt the balance between bacteria and natural chemicals in the bowel, and may interfere with the colon's ability to shed dead cells.
complications include gastrointestinal perforation from improper insertion, and amoebic infection from poorly sterilised equipment

no bowel perforations, no infections b/c this detox in fact washes out the toxins in your colon so as to help clean out your system. also this helps with your electrolytes, it does not hinder them. As far as heart attacks goes, the owner of this development had conjestive heart failure. After doing the detox (10 per sessions) she now has no trace of conjestive heart failure. Also, one of the nurses in this office had kidney failure. After her sessions, she has no trace of kidney disease or kidney failure. Colon cleansing does not disrupt the balance between bacteria and natural solutions in the bowel but jump starts it back up to working as it originally did as when you were a child, provided your system was normal as a child. Sounds to me like you are just making up fake excuses not to get this done.  Try it, then tell me all this junk!
oh and all the equipment used is sterile.

Actually, your last post I know is true.  I think there is one reason people don't follow the suggestion in your initial post to this thread:  Some don't know what it is and have never heard of it.  It is considered to be alternative medicine, so that's one of the reasons I can't do something like that myself.  I simply don't have access to the amount of money it would take to cover the out of pocket costs.  So, I do the best I can to follow alternative medicine and natural foods at home for the most part.

A friend of mine was talking about something I can do in the future at home, as long as I'm careful and mindful about not overdoing that could help.  She has done the colon hydrotherapy, so she knows what I mean about the out of pocket costs.  She has given me some information she has learned along the way about this type of therapy that she has done herself.  What she was talking about is similar to something I've done on a temporary basis in the past, but she gave me refined information that should help make what she was talking about more effective for me when I'm able to start in the future.  She said it makes all the difference in how much energy she has during the day, too, since she is dealing with Lyme.

I'm not going to post publicly the information she was telling me, because too many people want to make it into a controversy worse than the controversy that is in this thread, of which I've heard myself in the past.  People misunderstand the type of therapy you're talking about and many believe similarly to gymdandee.  I wouldn't say I fully understand it, but I do wish I could afford to give it a try, even once or twice a year.  I wouldn't if you PM about more information about what you're talking about concerning the hydrotherapy.
