Gall bladder and pancreatitis

My father was admitted for Gall stones and pancreatitis, once he was admitted the Dr's started administering morphine. Now my dad is having to be is having to be put under sedation do to him being "medically delirious". Dr's have no clue what has caused this complication. The Pancreatitus  is now gone. What could be causeung the delusions?

a combo of morphine, and any other drug the hospital gave him
