I agree - I use different treatments depending on the particular situation. For me it's not an either/or situation. My general feeling is that naturopathic treatments generally work really well for chronic conditions but that allopathic treatments seem to work better for acute illnesses. Of course, that's not always true, but that's generally how I start.
It always depends on the issue. For a simple cold, I prefer naturopathic. Strep throat: penicillin, and some tea and garlic to aid.
IMO, naturopathic medicine is not a question of instead, but more of working together.
There is so much you can do to aid school medicine with naturopathy, unless they interfere with each other too much.
I take school medication for parasites, but noone could tell me that I should stop eating garlic, onions, ginger, cayenne and pineapples since those are natural remedies.
I would never rely on naturopathy solely if it comes to severe diseases like cancer.
