Pain under Ribs in right side above abdoman

Question

Hi Experts....,

I have a question here....  i am suffering pain which is right below my ribs above abdomen.  I consulted the doctor and he asked me to get ultrasound scan and same is done before 1 year all were normal.  He provided some tabs sorry i am not sure of it with that Rantac also he gave which has to be had half an hour before or after dinner or break fast.

My Company timings:  Evening 5:30 PM to morning 2:30 AM IST.  

My daily activity: Firstly i am very lazy.  I woke up by 1:00 PM IST have brunch by 2:30 watch TV or read some books or some time sleep again till 3:45 PM IST. 

I am a smoker i smoke 10 Cig's per day or more than that.

Exercise:  No

Week end: Sat getting up or some time no sleep hang out with friends go for photography booz smoke enjoy.  Sunday evening hang out with friends booz smoke.   Same is happening since 3 years.

I am suffering from this pain since 8 years where it will be there for 2 months or so in an year.   When ever the pain starts i will start eating only curd rice.

My food habits:  I am an vegetarian and occasionally i will have Egg.

Please suggest me if you have any answers for this problem and also please ask me any kind of questions if you have.

If it is gas get over-the-counter Gas-X (simethicone). Chew one pill and drink a full glass of water. There are no side effects that I know of. It works well for me.
