There are many other tricyclic antidepressants other than this one, and you can also move to other classes of antidepressants, such as the ssris. You're not stuck with this one. One thing to look out for -- Indian doctors seem to really load on the meds, so do your own homework as to whether you need to take so many meds at once. There are also non-pharmaceutical options, such as therapy, depending on how severe the problem is. Good luck.
Rubidium can be used for major depression 360 to 720
milligrams of rubidium chloride. I don't know if you can buy Rubidium In health food stores in India! If you can't you'll have to go to a compounding pharmacist
to have the supplement formulated, I would suggest 500mg. per day with food.
Make sure to have your fasting essential amino acids checked first! Not every depressed individual has low essential amino acids, the majority do, so testing and treatment for these key nutrients should never be omitted.
You can have your fasting essential amino acids checked with a blood test.
If your amino acids are low, make sure to use a blend of all eight
essential amino acids (including tryptophan) made just for you.
And, make sure to look for the cause of your low levels. Often,it's because
of low stomach acid. If it is then add injections of vitamin B12 with folic
acid.
Rubidium should not be used by individuals with bi-polar (manicdepressive)
illness!!!
But most importantly, if you take rubidium, it’s important to take an equal or greater amount of potassium, because there’s more potassium than rubidium naturally present in your body.
Make sure to check with your doctor first!!!!!
