charcoal tablets/ capsules

i got a whiff of spraypaint the otherday, it knocked me on my a5s for 2 days; i'm more sensitive to fumes and sh!t than i used to be; anyway, feeling better today;

my friend suggested take 10 charcoal capsules. i thought it was a great idea. went to pharmacist, they thought it wouldn't help. i got them anyway. i took 3 capsules. think it'll help with general detox, and absorbing poison/ chemicals? how much does it interfere with the rest of the day's food/ supplements? i kept them as separate as i could from each other...
anything else?...
thanks...

Charcoal will not provide any help whatsoever, and is contraindicated.

A good liver cleanse, as suggested by Paxilid, is not the worst idea in the world.

The problem is these fumes are neurotoxic and degrade body structures within a short period after exposure that sometimes repair themselves and sometimes don't.

cool. i developed the hypersensitivity about 2 years ago, and just 'forgot'. after 2 years off work, i did a small spraypaint job and didn't do the right thing. yes, need to cleanse liver...

Paxiled is correct, the ER's have charcoal for those who ingest something bad you
inhaled, how do you spray paint and not wear proper protection.

That's too much charcoal in your intestines for something that charcoal only helps with as a filter on a face mask.  I'd get some more expert advice than your friend.  This was a temporary event, and if it's been two days, I'd see a doctor.  That's a long time for paint fumes.  For long term protection, the place you want to cleanse is your liver; charcoal cleanses your intestines of toxins but also of good stuff, as you have indicated.  If you've got gas, one charcoal capsule might be a nice thing.  If you're worried about long-term damage, buy a good liver cleanse.  Otherwise, forget about it and next time wear a mask with a charcoal filter that keeps the stuff out in the first place.
