It depends upon the REASON for the pain. I ocasionally get severe knee pain (unable to walk) and fluid has to be extracted with a hypodermic syringe, which solves the problem. In other cases glucosamine might be indicated. You need an MRI of the knee and a diagnosis before thinking about requesting injections.
I can't find the correct spelling for you, but it is caled "sinvisc" or someting close to that. It has some sertoid in also. I used it on both of my kee befoe they had to be replaced. It I find the corret speling, I wiil send to you. jbrat :)
Yes it is probably glucosamine. It is reputed to help rebuild cartilage.
Why don't you try acupuncture? I'm an acupuncturist and many patients come to me for knee pain and are very satisfied.
