I was prescribed Levofloxin and I vowed "never again". Originally the dose was less and extended over more days, but there were so many side effects (including ruptured loigaments, for some strange reason) that the manufacturer changed the protocol. In my case I found this medication to produce unbelievable fatigue, weakness and muscle pain. Do a google search for side effects, of which there are many. I would only use this medication as a last resort, and then with trepidation.

Levofloxacin is a very strong broad spectrum antibiotic.  750mg is the strongest dosage available for this medication.  This usually means that you have some kind of bacterial infection that is unknown, and the doctors are treating many types of bacterial infections at once.  or if the infection is known, it may not respond to lesser medications. Sinusitis, bronchitis, pneumonias, UTI, etc.  Anxiety symptoms may occur in the form of raised blood pressure accompanied with headaches and a "flight or fight" response.  In response to the flight or fight reponse, epinepherine and glucose are released into the blood in high amounts to feed the muscles for you to be able to run away from the threat you are facing.  You may get a rapid heart rate, feeling like your heart is thumping out of your chest, a tightening of the chest muscles, a feeling of being gittery, flushed face, and a strong desire to throw something or run away with no were to go, to name a few.  Your symptoms indicate that your dosage may be too high for you. These symptoms will not "go away" on their own, but need attention right away. Check with your doctor about changing the dosage, taqke everything you are taking, even over the counter or herbal meds to see if you are having an interaction for a combination of one or more, and get your blood pressure monitored while you are at it.  You may wish to invest in a home blood pressure kit that allows you to take your own blood pressure so you can monitor it yourself.  good luck
