What have I missed??? Surgery Success!!

Well....have I missed anything good this week other than Deepdiver's scary profile picture changes????
Surgery was a success without complications and I am healing nicely! Painful you ask? Second day was the torture day.....someone had officially beat me with a baseball bat to my abodomen and ribs! Then came the third day of moving the gas up and out of the body (the stuff they pump your stomach up with to make you look like a fishbowl).....feels like a heartattack and bad case of bursitis in the shoulders. lol lol  
Then comes day three of painful incisions still and oh yeah......you are still not pooping! Days of constipation, eating prunes, taking Calm magnesium, and now milk of magnesia! STill not moving much! lol
BUT......the pain is manageable, diseases gallbladder out, and so very thankful!! Would I do it again? Absolutely!
This time i would make sure i take the pain pills every 4 hours instead of being stubborn and letting the pain set in.
Can you say "Dumb dumb want gum gum?" That's why they tell you to take the meds! LOL  
Oh well live and learn!

I am so glad you are done with it and on the' mend' yes deep diver has been very bad ,keeps changing his profile pic to scare us....lol  but we love his humor dont we.This was good positive news to hear from you, a lot of folks have Gall bladder problems, its scary but you are doing okay ...tell us what its like later when all has settled down.

Glad to hear that you came through the surgery well.  I had almost forgotten the time lines, but now that you list them, I do so remember trying to get rid of that gas, etc.  

I was lucky, I didn't have much pain and quit taking the pain pills the second day, but yes, there IS a reason that you get them in the first place.  

Anyway, hope you keep progressing and do stop being 'brave' - the pain pills will only help you.

Thanks to both of you for your well wishes! I did end up taking the pain pills for 3 days. lol
Now i am dealing with the achiness from the tissue inside healing.
I did end up developing a chest infection in which I started a Z-Pack yesterday. Hopefully this will get rid of it and I will stop having chest pain, heaviness, coughing and breathlessness. My dr thought maybe it was caused by the breathing tube. strange.
