No, never had ADD, but I do seem to have a lot of MINUS.
Stop hijacking threads, you two cut-ups. Do you two have ADD?
Sick and tired 47, they're sorry.
I find that Mountain Dew is great for insomnia....OH !!! You meant for PREVENTING insomnia ! My bad.
Yup live in Tinsel town, or near it and lovin it , oceans, mountains great climate even with the smog and allergies,Lol full of crazy capitalists who seem to be very left wing...go figure .Went to Florida to see if I liked it, .I did okay there but wasnt LA so made some dosh then came back to the madness of LA good thing too just after I got back about 5-6 years ago, Port st Lucie and Jensen Beach were hit by major Hurricanes , one house was lost ...without me in it ,I was here snuggled up by the beach ........
Hey margy, hope you'll still let me post here even if you're mad at me politically. I mistakenly said clam's forte. Maybe good for clams. I mean Calm's Forte. By Hylands. It's about the only thing that's helped me since Paxil paxiled me. Are you really in LA? My home town. A long time ago.
I think it was L-Tryptophane deepdiver told me was good for insomnia ,i havent tried it yet, have treid everything else, am still sleepeless in LA actually it varies some nights I get 4 hours ,I have found if I have too much sugar of any sort in the evening I will stay awake if I curb on the food ,ice cream .wine I sleep better, I find visualisation helps me get to sleep but not stay asleep. I dont worry now I have accepted it .
A homeopathic remedy called Clams Forte works pretty well, another good one is called Quietude. For herbs, it's hit and miss, but Sassy named the best ones. But the thing is, insomnia owes to something. It doesn't come out of nowhere. So none of these products will actually cure it, just hopefully help you sleep. The deeper question is why you have it. A homeopath can try to find a constitutional remedy to deal with that, otherwise it's the old therapist, eh?
Hi Deep, welcome back. Oops.
Melatonin (smallest dosage) and Calm magnesium work wonders. There seem to be quite a few good all natural products out there to promote good sleep. I think it is a trial and miss thing....keep trying until you find what works for you. :)
I have found that the amino acid called "L-Trytophane" works real well without any side effects. I have also heard that the herb Valerian, passion flower and skull cap work great. There is a tea called "Sleepy Time" this is made with chamomile and other relaxing herbs and taste really good.
I have had acupuncture, but it did not relax me, in fact, it made me more hyper, but, bear in mind, I am one of the few folks where lots of remedies work opposite, so, you cannot go by me. Lots like massage, well, not me, again, it makes me nervous, but, for some, it is a miracle for relaxation.
