how do I get the swelling of feet and ankle down

If you have Heart Failure, most likely your dr. has prescribed you, between several other medicaments, some diuretics, check with him to see if your dose has to be modified.

Additionally, stop your salt intake, read all food labels and try to stay below 1200 mg of sodium/day. Walk 30 minutes a day. if you have to spent time seated, try to elevate your feet.
