Congestive Heart Failure

Can naproxyn really cause congestive heart failure?  How so?  Also, a friend of mine said that it can also be brought on by eating poorly, meaning eating too much cheese & fried foods, because cheese clogs up your arteries and can lead to heart problems.  Is this all correct?  I mean how much is too much?

Thank you ahead of time.

Thank you for your reply.  I wondered, because a lot of my meds have warnings on them and I am also taking prescription strenght aleve 500 mg.  I was told to take it like 2 - 4 times a day.  I couldn't believe it.  I already have tachycardia and some of the meds I was prescribed besides that, I was shocked and the pharmacist asked me if the same doctor prescribed them.  He asked because of the interaction I was having.  I am on medication for the tachycardia and even though I am the medicine caused my heart rate to rise extremely high.  It felt like it was coming out of my chest.  My doctor doesn't realize what he has prescribed me sometimes, because he asks me, even though it is in my file.

Thank you again

If there is heart problems in the family a person should be very careful as to what they eat.  About 30 percent is attributed to food and the other 70% is hereditary what your body makes.  Any medications taken higher than dosage recommended on the bottle could cause problems.  I am not aware of Naproxyn such as Alieve causing CHF.  I think if that were so there would be a lot more people with CHF.  I use Alieve and Motrin myself for arthritis every now and then and no problems yet.  Heard about a study where Alieve may protect against alzeimers.  Fast food is bad for anybody even people who are healthy.  Diabetes has been linked to fat in foods.  You can check the food pyramid to see if you are eating healthy.  Healthy eating does not always mean that you will be healthy though.  I know many vegans who have heart disease.
