24 male chest pain. thanks for taking the time to read

I am a 24 year old male who is having different type of pain on different days.

This started  last year in october, I had a fall off my bike during a race and a week later I had chest pain rapid, heart rate, felt like I was going to faint and went to er. They said I am perfectly healthy and it was probably just a fluke. They did say I have Rbbb and my blood pressure was high at the time but it is nothing to worry about. I then had Trouble breathing and felt really dizzy for a few months. I had an ekg, blood work, echo, and event monitor. Every thing was good except on the event monitor saw the palpations but he said they are not dangerous. I saw a cardiologist, ent, and my primary care each month. Because of my symptoms.

I have back pain in my shoulders almost every day, legs feel weak and unstable, headaches once in a while, chest tightness, palpations that happen every month, muscles ache, my muscles twitch all over through out the day. Is this related to my heart? Stress? Anxiety? What should I do?

Every dr says anxiety but I just graduated college and have an awesome job where I make great money. Idk what to do.  Thanks !

An important factor to keep in mind is that there is no non-invasive test that can rule out a heart problem.

I am not a doctor, but my understanding is that an impact (such as your accident) can cause a rupture and/or break loose a chunk of plaque that can get stuck and cause a new blockage.

The only reliable test would be an angio to the best of my knowledge.

I was tested extensively for a year due to chest pains and arm numbness. All the tests came back clean, echo, treadmill etc... Then I had my first heart attack (MI) and an immediate angio which showed a 100% blockage on the RMA, a 70% and 90% on the LAD. Luckily my heart had formed a natural branch between the LAD and RMA. I had my first MI at age 34 so still being "too young" is no guarantee.

Better safe then sorry.

It seems you have had an extremely thorough work up and nothing showed up except the palps. Virtually everybody has the occasional PVC (Premature Ventricular Contraction) and 99.9% of them ARE benign unless you have an underlying heart disease, which I believe has been ruled out.
You said they told you that you had "Rbbb" and I'm afraid I don't know what that is. You also had high blood pressure AT THAT TIME, which would be normal since you were probably stressed. How is your BP now?

All of your doctors and all the tests have shown that you are a healthy young man. It IS possible that your symptoms are being caused by anxiety and I know that may be hard to accept because your symptoms ARE real.  Our minds are incredibly powerful and once anxiety enters the picture, it can cause us to see every ache, pain and twitch as something medically dangerous. It becomes a very vicious cycle.

I am not qualified to tell what is going on......I AM inclined to agree with the doctors that it is anxiety based. But since you don't seem confident in that diagnosis, I doubt my OPINION is going to help much either.

If I were in your shoes (and trust me, I HAVE been in your shoes) I would revisit my cardiologist since you seem to be focusing on your heart, tell him ALL of your symptoms and ask if there is any other testing he may want you to have. The vast majority of cardios will only order tests if they deem them necessary. Yours ordered the ones he needed to reach his diagnosis, which showed your heart is healthy with some very common and infrequent palps. If discussing this with your cardio again does not put your mind at rest, then I would say it is time to consider some talk therapy for the anxiety. The right therapist will help you break the cycle of anxiety and get your life back. I know you said you just graduated and have an awesome job making good money, and while that is all very positive, even positive changes in our lives can create stress which feeds the anxiety which increases the stress which ramps up the anxiety..........THE CYCLE.

I honestly believe you're fine but freaked and just need some help to get off this particular nasty merry-go-round.
I wish you the best and hope you'll keep me posted.
