Could this be CAD overdue?

My 88 year old husband had 3 way bypass in 2001, 5 way in 1992.  he has been the ultimate He-Man until one week ago Wed. when he became short of breath.  He can not walk 12 feet with out being SOB, and his o2 sat drops to 78-81%.  We went to urgent care, the PA said "thinks, but not sure" could be , PNA, CHF, and or COPD.

He has not had any of these diagnosis before, and was at the PCP 3 weeks earlier.  He has no cough, no swelling at the ankles.

His symptoms are:  SOB, Tired all the time.

What do you think about his heart graphs being worn out?   He , until 2 weeks ago, lifted weights, did the tread mill daily and eats a vegie diet high in fiber and protein.

any suggestions for him?  For me to do for him?  I am at a loss.

Thank you to anyone who might read this and give me help.

I would have to agree. I had a triple bypass in september 2007 and by december 2007 two of the three grafts closed up completely.

My 83 year old father is in the same condition. He had a 5 way CABG 10 years ago and last October became short of breath. He should have gone in sooner, when he did go he had a heart attack. Upon examination 4 of the 5 grafts have failed but he has some collateral development which is helping him.

He really needs to go see his cardiologist and have his grafts checked. I hope he feels better soon.
