Post Tram flap healing issues

I had a DIEP that turned into free Tram flap in NOV 09.Although actual flap ok, and scar line healed, I have had continuous tightness, swelling and bulging( esp below scar line above pubicbladders area).I feel sewn too tight.When i woke up registrars came in and said 'its tight'. I am getting very upset as was very active person.there is amesh in there.IS this adhesions/scar tissue/reaction to mesh or have they sewn me too tight ( i am tiny my tummy was already flat !)or is it more time for swelling to go down.I have had some frequency of needing loo too at night after day of movement.Please help i am feeling at wits end with this..like having too tight belt on.

With the use of mesh as an adjuct to the abdominal wall closure, there undoubtedly is significant scar tissue present from the healing process.  Even at six months post surgery, the still is time for scar maturation and softening to occur.  I do not have a specific recommendation other than patience to allow time to maximize the healing process.
