non cosmetic surgery pro bono

dear doc,    I am a small business owner here in south ga with no
medical insurance.  I would like to know if you or you know of a
medical school here in ga that could help me. I have a large ( lemon
size ) fatty tumor on the back of my neck. My regular doctor was going
to remove it about a year ago for 350.00 in his office. At the time I did not
have the money so I saved up and went back to him about six months
later and by that time it had increased in size so that he could not do it
in house. He said it needs to be done in a O.R.
He said the tumor is really nothing and not to worry about it but this thing
is driving me crazy. It is at the point now to where it is depressing me greatly.

Can you Help? Or at least steer me to Help!

thanks mws63

The lump is most probably a lipoma.  I know of no specific facility or surgeon in your area who will remove it at no charge.  It sounds like something ObamaCare will ultimately cover.
