Do I need more Surgery

I Had a breast augmentation (Gel Implant) 14 years ago. I am still happy with them but have been told they only last 10 years and will need to be replaced. This worries me as I cant afford another operation! Is this True, my surgeon told me they were for life as long as I didn´t get any complications!

There is a myth that implants need to be replaced every ten years.  This is untrue.  I have been in practice for over 30 years and only replace or remove implants if there is evidence of problems like a deformity or a leak.

I replaced my 20 year old implants cause they were the older honey like silicon and the myth is that 97% of implants will rupture after 10 years and I heard in on Discovery Health by a PS from Beverly Hills. He is a quite reknowned PS but I personally am not sure how good he is, I looked up his website and his before and after pics were strange as he used the models professional photos as his after pics and that does not give you a clue cuz anyone can look good w Photoshop so I questioned that) .back my story- My 20 year old honey like silicon polyeruothane (foam) covered implants were still intact! That said, I love my new ones! They are perkier and fuller and I'm so happy I did it both for health reasons possible leakage of my old implants and cosmetic!
