I recently (7 months ago) had a surfing injury where a sharp fin tip stuck directly into my right cheek. The laceration was slightly curved, vertical and about 1 inch from the edge of my mouth. See my profile photo.
Question:
Now that the healing process is almost complete and I can tell that I'm going to have a visible depression that casts a shadow, is it possible to cut out the depression / scar tissue and create a cleaner or smoother new scar? It was about 10 hours before the laceration was closed and I think that may have contributed to the result. Other than that, the color seems to be better than i was expecting.
If it's a waste of time to entertain any thoughts of removing this scar let me know, I'll deal with it.
Thanks for any advice,
-Adam
