CD and meds

Anyone with CD currently taking anti-anxiety/anti-depressant medication?

Hi!
Yes, anti-anxiety and anti depressants are often prescribed to treat the emotional turmoil associated with dealing with Crohn’s. Since there is no permanent cure for the disease and the patient has to live with it for life, there is a lot of anxiety, apprehension and stress associated with the disease. Anti-anxiety and anti depressants medications help patient better deal with their disease and hence helps in the treatment. Please discuss with your doctor. Take care!
