CT scan

Recently I had a high temeprature and abdominal pain which was treated with antibiotics. CT scan (pelvis) says;
There is prominence of the reticular vascular markings in the pelvic meso-colon and some thickening and irregularity of the sigmoid colonic loop.
This is a non specific feature but further assessment by Colonoscopy or Barium enema is recommended.

Also: There is some reduced attenuatium of the liver consistent with diffuse fatty infiltration of the liver but no focal hepatic abnormality or sclerotic changes are evident.

If it is chrons or diverticulits you need to stay away from popcorn and seeds.  Until you see the GI dr I would not eat any of these.  That includes the seeds in tomatoes etc.

When you see the dr he will probably start you on antibiotics and this should help the pain.  It is very strong meds and your pharmacist will tell you to not have anything with alcohol in it, liquor, mouthwash and cough meds.

I am back again. I had another examination, after colonoscopy. It was X ray of the small intenstine after taking barium enema. It took more than 4 hours for barium enema to go into small intenstine.
Beside this, I also had blood test for everything, not sure what exactly. Now I have an app. with the specialist and will know more.
He has already told me I had ulcers and they must be from something and he suspects on Chron's. Hopefully we will know more.
I am feeling better although the mild pain is always there on the right side, very low and sometimes, depends on what I eat, I have to go to the toilet  2-4 times a day. Relatively rarely I feel sick. I am trying to figure out what food triggers some bad symptoms. I do hope that my symptoms or episodes will not be so bad.
So, it is ulcerative colitis for sure but still don't know for Chron's desease.

I had colonoscopy today, survived. The report says:
" In the terminal ilum the mucosa was erythematous. Aphitous ulcrs were also noted.
At the ileo-ceacal valve the muscoa congested and erythematous. Ileal ulcers and some congestion? ileitis due to IBD eg Crohn's? Other cause. Few diverticula.
Diagnosis: Diverticulosis (562.10)
Colitis: mildly active involving the ileitis.
Procedures: Biopsy: Vital I from terminal ileum x 3 biopsy: Vital II from whole clon x 5
Final disposition: Return to reffering docotor. Return to primaty physician. Await histopathology results. Depending on progress may require further assesmant."

I know I have to wait for biopsy results and see my GP next week too. However, does anyone know from the experience if this might be very dangerous or not, if biopsy is ok? I am feeling a mild pain on the left side all the time and going to the toilet is tricky, unless I eat a lot of fibre, it is constipation but is eating a lot of fibre a bit tricky for ulcerative colitis or Chron's? Does it worsen the inflamation? I am a bit scared of everyhting now, after my episode of accute inflamation I had some time ago.

I made an app. to see a specialist and will have colonoscopy after that and see what happens. Scared from surgery because I have other health problems too, recent parathyroid gland (removed), waiting for a breast surgery, kidney cyst, etc.
But what has to be  done, has to be.

You do need to have the other tests.  With the high temp and abdominal pain you could have chrons or uc.

These thest should show that you do or rule them out.

You need to see a gastro dr and get to the bottom of it.

Best of luck and let us know what happens.
