Crohn's or just a bad case of IBS?

I've been suffering from severe abdominal pain and intestinal bleeding which is usually accompanied by dizzyness and slight fever for about a year and a half now and every doctor I go to says well it sounds like you have Crohn's or UC but blood tests come back negative and colonoscopy confirmed nothing as well, other than that I have lesions on my intestines that the bleeding comes from. I've cut out meat, dairy and eggs from my diet and it helps most of the time other than the odd flare up. The conclusion at the end is always IBS but I don't have constipation or diarrhea, I do go to the bathroom on average 3-4 times a day though.
Oh and pain is severe enough that when I go to the hospital with bleeding they offer me morphine.... this can't be IBS can it?

Yeah I went to a new doctor and I'm suppose to get another colonoscopy done and some sort of x ray on my intestines. They saw lesions but not rot or whatever it is that they need to see for it to be crohn's. They took a biopsy from the lesion and I they said no crohn's... I'm really hesitant to even go for more tests because it's just so frustrating when it comes up with nothing helpful.

That sound way too severe to be IBS in my opinion!  I am confused... the doctors saw lesions in your intestine but said they didn't think it was Crohn's or UC?  They have to be something... Is there any way you can take a copy of your colonoscopy results to a different physician for a second opinion?

Here is a definition of IBS from www.medterms.com...

IBS (irritable bowel syndrome): A common gastrointestinal disorder involving an abnormal condition of gut contractions (motility) characterized by  abdominal pain, bloating, mucous in stools, and irregular bowel habits with alternating diarrhea and constipation, symptoms that tend to be chronic and to wax and wane over the years. Although IBS can cause chronic recurrent discomfort, it does not lead to any serious organ problems.

Bleeding is a serious organ problem that needs to be taken seriously.  Hopefully you can find a better doctor or gastroenterologist to help you!
