Diet changes

Hey everyone!
I was diagnosed with Crohn's about a year ago, and have since then been on a few medications and have settled on Imuran. Now, I have no complaints about my doctor, he's actually fairly good at what he does and he goes out of his way to help me and all his other patients but I find he doesn't have the time to really go in depth with my questions.
I've been interested in becoming a vegetarian for quite some time, and have recently (about a month or two ago) taken the first step which is to become a mafist (a person who doesn't eat mammals). Since I've stopped eating things like pork and beef I've actually felt great, a lot of my digestive problems have either gotten better or disappeared altogether.
However, I realize I should be taking some vitamins to compensate for what I'm not getting in my diet, since I eat mostly vegetarian now and having Crohn's I'm sure I'm getting even less vitamins than a normal person might.
What vitamins should I be taking? Especially if I were to stop eating chicken and fish as well.

Hi there!

The nutritional supplements you would be required to take include Vitamin B12, iron, calcium, iodine (preferably fortified food), fatty acids and DHA. It might also be worthwhile to get your vitamin D levels tested for and if required the supplementation can be started as well.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
