Help 8 months n no bowel movement

Im a 22 year old woman. I have been living a nightmare for 8 months. In these last 8 months i have taken laxative after laxative and stool softeners (all prescribed ones)  as well as senna, dulcolax, dulcosate, fibregel, movicol etc. I have been hospitilized 7 times in this period and each time i recieve 3 daily hot oil enemas and a solution called picolax (usually used before bowel surgery) 3/4 times daily. I have even had a litre of bowel cleanser. I eat a fairly healthy diet and have introduced more salad and veg into it. I have tried every herbal remeday, old wifes tale solutions and all prebiotic drinks on the market. All of this to no avail.
I HAVE NOT HAD A SINGLE BOWEL MOVEMENT IN 8 MONTHS NOW and was in total despair with different drs giving me different advice. One saying eat fibre one saying dont and such like.
Last week i tried colonic irrigation. i was a new woman, for a couple of days anyway. I am now having colonics weekly along with weekly hot oil enemas and daily laxatives. And STILL no change...
I suffer terrible pain and abdominal distension. I feel nauseos constantly and generally tend to vomit after eating, and when really bad, after drinking anything too. I am constantly tired and my eyes are becomming almost jaundiced.
I have had a top layer bowel biopsy and this has come up normal.

I am at a complete loss and wondering if anyone has had similar experiences or can offer any help??

I noticed you said on the above post, they couldn't get far on pretty much all test.  The throwing up is typical with a blockage or narrowing of the intestinal track. I hold nothing down except mine comes with diarhea. But i have had the throwing up and passing out.  they diagnosed me the then with gastrointeritis. but i came home with the diarhea But With contrast with like 4 cat scans they seen my entire intestinal tracked was thickening....So don't freak cause i am still here.   demand an MRI with contrast ( the dye) I pray you get better take care

Have you had a colonoscopy? Our daughter has crohn's and also has issues with constipation - we were advised to give her smaller meals (easier to digest than 3 large meals) so eating like a diabetic 5 or 6 small meals per day and she takes peg3350 powder - it helps to retain moisture in the bowel - not a laxative. Some of the commercial names are: Laxaday or Restoralax or just simply Peg powder 3350.

My daughter has same frustrations - tired of things not working and always having to try something new but I found that giving her probiotics also helps to balance the flora in the intestines and NOT every probiotic is the same - Activia yoghurt is only ONE of many types needed - you need to test drive for at least a month or two of each kind to see which one works the best.

I would say not to eat anything for a while and drink lots of prune juice.  You can eat only fruit and veggies with high water content--but emphassis on the prune juice.  If after a week, you do not have a discharge of some type then and only then consider getting these other tests people are recommending.  The body will heal itself if you don't cram it full of crappy industrial food.  Prune juice!

You don't mention an abdominal MRI with contrast.  This scan confirmed I had severe strictures in my colon, as well as ulcers in my small intestine. It is non invasive, but costly.

I had a sigmoidoscopy but they couldnt get far, had two barium meal test both of which werent completed, xrays, ct scan and an ultrasound. All seem to come back normal so far. The biopsy was normal but th lab requested a 'full thickness' biopsy so they can examine the nerves but dr hasnt done that yet. im waiting to see wot the consultant wants to do.
