What causes Crohn's? What if it's misdiagnosis?

I saw on the web its hereditary but no one in my family suffers bowels issues?  Also since I'm here, can a doctor accidentally misdiagnose you with Crohn's and it be something else like diverticulitis?

It's most likely caused by abnormal response of the immune system with environmental and genetic factors playing a role, but the exact etiology remains unclear.
And to make a diagnosis of crohn's your doctor has to do a colonoscopy and get a biopsy, so it's highly unlikely to be a misdiagnosis
