confused

Had a colonoscopy today and doctor said there were a couple of ulcers.  Made a comment about Crohns but won't know until biopsy comes back.  The only symptom remotely close to what I've read is occasional bleed on paper, mainly after a constipated bowel movement. Have no abdomen pain, mucous, weight loss is definately NOT a problem.  I've looked at colitis, crohns, etc and only bleed is close.  What do you suppose if I don't have any of the typical symptoms?

Were you having problems to have the colonoscopy?  If not, then you could have chrons and it is just not active.  You could have chrons and never have flare-ups.

Are they going to do more tests or was this just part of a work-up for a physical?

You usually have blood when the chrons is in the large intestine.  When in the small intestine you don't usually have blood.

When chrons is in the small intestine and is mild you could have no symptoms or it could be as little as feeling movement in your stomach like gas.  Also constipation and diarreha either one.

It's hard to say. It could be UC or Crohns. I didn't have the normal symptoms either. My doctor and I both were surprised when a mass I had was biopsied and they said Crohns. They had 2 different pathologists look at it because they didn't believe I had it. I just didn't have the normal symptoms of blood or weight loss. I did have some abdominal pain and acid reflux. I also had some ulcers. I went in remission for a couple of years but I think it may be coming back. I'm getting ready to get stuff checked out again.
I hope you get some answers soon!
