Hi I hope I have Crohn's!!  I know that probably sounds sick but I dont want it to be the other "C"   Just a thought alot of colon diseases start with a C celiac, crohns, colitis!!
My Dr, said he took a biop of ampulla, which I believe is the first part of intestines??
neg. for celiac, found out today, that was done 2 yrs ago, but I read you can still have it if they dont biop the right spot??

Anyway, please dont pre-judge,  I have been on pain killers (even though I want to stop
Dr. disagree's, for something un-related)  I think they are or have been masking possibly Crohn's.  I have been soo bloated they horrible, like I lost my waistline within a month's time. And bout of gas that when the come they are horrendous w/ very soft stool, remember I'm usually constipated from long acting opites???

Have pains in knees, one knee is worse then the other!!  And many misc. symptoms
Can either of you guys tell me if there's anyything other then diarehha/constipation??
Ironically I have 2 colonoscpy's set up , either march 19 or the 12th, I dont think I can make it till the 19th.............please write...................Denise

All your symptoms sound like Crohns.  I've had it for 25 years and I'm only 43.  It's a VERY difficult disease to diagnose because it tends to "hide" in the intestine.  It takes a REALLY good gastro doctor to see it and then treat it.  Besides steroids, there are many other new drugs on the market today with less side effects.  PLEASE seek a second opinion.  Just treating the symptoms and not really making a diagnosis is not going to help you.  You do not have to keep suffering with these symptoms.  You have every right to be angry.  I once had a doc tell me that most Crohns patients are angry -- gee . . . wonder why . . . . this disease can be soooo debilatating; it has currently caused me to seek disability and I can no longer work, at least for a while until things get under control again.  I even had a complete colectomy, resulting in an ileostomy bag 10 years ago and I'm still suffering.  It sucks and since there's no cure, it gets discouraging.  But I'm telling you, please don't -- please talk to other and see another doctor or group of gastros.  Another option would be to contact a Colon/Rectal surgeon,  who specialize in this area and know much much more than a regular gastro doctor.
Anyway, I hope this helps and I wish you all the best in your quest to heal.  My prayers are with and don't give up.  I know there are days you want to, but you don't have to.  It will get better, but you have to be proactive.  Look up some website that also suggest some alternative diets and meds that will help you tremendously.  I switched to a partial-organic diet with supplements and it has helped.  Just a suggestion.  Good Luck!
