Medicinal Marijuana

Anyone else get relief from Medicinal Marijuana? I had a total colectomy in December of 2007 and have had severe diarrhea, gas, bloating, nausea and abdominal pain ever since. Marijuana gives me lasting relief less than 2 minutes after use. I made a new years resolution to quit because of it being illegal, but now I am back to suffering all those symptoms 24/7. I need advice- my doctors don't seem to want to get involved, but they do say it can be a Godsend for people with my symptoms. What to do, what to do?

It tremendously helps my son with his UC and I use it occasionally for fibromyalgia and Lupus pain.
