Well I got it in the mail today. Looks like all the others Ive gotten, pretty standard stuff.
I didn't get all the "warning" letters, but yes, the form I received centers on April 1 -- I don't plan on going anywhere or having anyone move in with me that's not already here, but by the same token, I'm not filling the thing out till April 1 --- after all, I might get into an accident or something and not even be here; that means dear hubby will have to show that he's the only one who lives here..............
I think you would report the facts as they are at the time you fill out the forms. They understand that unforseen things happen sometimes. Not a huge deal.
did anyone else get 3 letters saying you're getting a letter then one that says you're getting the census? then upon receiving said census (BEFORE april 1) have the entire thing focus ON april 1? how are we supposed to know what is going to happen between now and april 1???? we don't know if (god forbid) something happens and someone moves in with us, we have to leave or what. *sigh*
We did not get an "advance notice", like some did, but we received the actual form yesterday.
The one we got was also a short form (only 7 questions) but it has space to list up to 12 people. I understand that a lot of illegals have 2-3 families living together; I guess this form would work well for them.
The only other pertinent question, besides "who lives here" asks whether our home has a mortgage or is free and clear. I don't understand why they need to know that -- if it's free and clear, will they come take it away from us so they can give it to someone who bought a home they couldn't afford and lost it?
thankfully, mine was an easy/ short form.
Mine is a short one (for which I am glad).
I have not recd mine yet but did get a letter notifying me that it was coming. It also stated to be thorough and truthful as it determines the government funds that my county will get as a result. Im still waiting.
Yes statistically that is how it occurs. I'd have to look up to find out the exact number of people but the form I recieved was the full form so I guess I'm one of the lucky winners lol. If they are able to make use of any statistics they recieve to help understand the ever changing nature of the American population then of course I would agree with it but at times it hasn't always been the case but that depends. I as everyone else generally does fill it out accurately to the best of my knowledge.
